Children aren’t just the future of the church—they’re the church right now.
Research consistently shows that the foundations of faith are formed in childhood. The stories, truths, and experiences children encounter in their earliest years shape their understanding of God for the rest of their lives.
That’s why we take Kids Ministry seriously. Not as babysitting while parents attend “real” church, but as an essential part of how we disciple the next generation. We want every child who walks through our doors to know three things:
God made me and loves me. Every child is created in God’s image and precious in His sight.
The Bible is true. God’s Word is trustworthy, and it tells the greatest story ever told.
Jesus wants to be my friend forever. The gospel isn’t just for adults—it’s an invitation for everyone.
A Sunday Morning at City Grace Kids
Here’s what your family can expect when you visit Kids Ministry on Sunday.
Two Services Every Sunday
Kids Ministry is available at both our 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM services. Choose whichever works best for your family—same great experience at both.
Nursery Through 5th Grade
We have age-appropriate classes for children from birth through 5th grade. Each classroom is designed to meet kids where they are developmentally while pointing them to Jesus.
Secure Check-In & Check-Out
Your child’s safety is our top priority. We use a secure check-in system that assigns matching codes to parents and children. Only the adult with the matching code can pick up your child after service.
Two-Leader Minimum
Every classroom is staffed by at least two leaders at all times—including background-checked adults and trained teen helpers. This ensures proper supervision and accountability while creating a safe environment for your child.
The Gospel Project Curriculum
We use The Gospel Project—a Christ-centered curriculum that takes kids through the entire Bible, showing how every story points to Jesus. It’s theologically rich, age-appropriate, and designed to be reinforced at home. Look for the QR code on your child’s coloring sheet for resources to use at home!
Fun, Engaging, and Welcoming
We want kids to love coming to church! Expect singing, interactive Bible stories, crafts, and games—all designed to help children learn that following Jesus is the greatest adventure.
Getting Your Family Ready
If this is your first time visiting City Grace Kids, here’s what to do (or pre-register with the link below to save time!):
- Arrive a few minutes early. This gives us time to get your family registered in our check-in system and answer any questions you have.
- Head to the Kids Ministry check-in area. A friendly volunteer will help you register and get name tags for your children.
- Walk your child to their classroom. We’ll show you exactly where to go and introduce you to the teachers.
- Keep your matching security tag. You’ll need it to pick up your child after service.
- Enjoy the service! We’ve got your kids covered. Focus on worship—if we need you, we’ll display your child’s security code on the screen.
